What to expect
The show reimagines the Ali Baba folklore as a supernatural horror-comedy: instead of forty thieves, the story runs on forty ghosts. Asha Negi plays Ali, a science-driven skeptic, opposite Vishal Vashishtha's Baba, a small-town cop who believes every ghost story he hears, with Ujjwal Chopra, Abhay Mahajan and Joy Sengupta also starring. The pairing sets up a haunted treasure-hunt adventure that mixes village superstition, comedy and scares - a genre blend that has been doing well for Hindi streaming originals this year.
