What is Student of the Year: After Dark?
The campus glamour, romance and competitions of St. Theresa's give way to mystery and violence in this gritty reinvention, which Johar described as "gritty, gory, unabashed and absolute madness." The series marks Shanaya Kapoor's digital debut, with the actress reportedly playing a double role. The cast also features Divik Sharma and Manya Grover.
Reema Maya directs, with Dharmatic Entertainment producing. The announcement arrives as the franchise completes 14 years: the original Student of the Year (2012), directed by Johar, launched Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, while Punit Malhotra's Student of the Year 2 (2019) starred Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. After Dark is the franchise's first outing as a series.
