Why is this the final season?
Johar's announcement closes a talk-show run that began in 2004. In the final-season message, he said he wants to spend the next decade directing more films and telling more stories. The new season is positioned as a farewell to the celebrity couch, candid conversations and rapid-fire rounds.
For Indian viewers, the confirmed practical detail is the October 14 start on JioHotstar. A premiere date is not a full episode calendar: until the platform gives the upload hour and rollout, those details stay TBA here.
What has been verified?
Variety's September 30 report confirms the ninth and final season and JioHotstar premiere on October 14. Hindustan Times also reports the announcement and quotes the October 14 streaming caption. We have not treated speculative guest lists as confirmed.
